GRPS Foundation –

General Fund

Dedication to the children of GRPS

From unrestricted gifts to the Foundation, our general fund grants are made available to the Grand Rapids Public Schools (or partnering agencies) to further provide those critical experiences that lay pathways for all students to succeed in school. We’ve identified five areas of impact which help us ensure a more well-rounded foundation for our students: Arts Education, Environmental Education, Literacy, Math Science & Technology and Physical Wellness. However, we also recognize that many experiences and educational pathways do not necessarily fall into one of these areas, instead recommendations are always correlated to a specified curriculum, guided by GRPS. All grants are reviewed annually by a panel comprised of GRPSF board members.

About the Foundation

The Grand Rapids Public Schools Foundation is the strategic fundraising partner of the Grand Rapids Public Schools. Our organization works with the help of 23 volunteer board of directors, three ex-officio board members, four staff members, and countless volunteers. Since it’s start in 1993, the Foundation has grown to support programs and projects that impact every aspect of a student’s education.
