5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00 am followed by a Mini Trot for children 12 and under

Use your feet before you eat! As Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) celebrates its 30th anniversary of Turkey Trot, we reflect on the many wonderful programs and events that have been integral to making GRPS what it is today. This is the largest, family-friendly 5k event that directly benefits GRPS student-athletes.

Please join us in support of the 30th Annual Grand Rapids Turkey Trot, presented by Blue Care Network of Michigan.

This annual event has become one of Michigan’s largest and best Thanksgiving Day experiences, with typical participation at approximately 4,300 runners. This year we are pleased to be back in-person at the starting line, just outside Van Andel Arena as well as offering the virtual option again. The morning begins at 8:00 am with the 5K run/walk followed by the Mini Trot, a fun run for children 12 and under.
