Use your feet before you eat!

29th Annual Grand Rapids Turkey Trot

Presented by Blue Care Network of Michigan

Thursday, November 25th Thanksgiving Day outside Van Andel Arena

5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00 am followed by a Mini Trot for children 12 and under

As Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) celebrates its 150th anniversary, we reflect on the many wonderful programs and events that have been integral to making GRPS what it is today, including the Grand Rapids Turkey Trot.

Please join us in support of the 29th Annual Grand Rapids Turkey Trot, presented by Blue Care Network of Michigan. This long-standing, family-friendly event raises funds to help offset the costs of after-school athletics, providing the opportunity for all GRPS students to participate at no cost.

This annual event has become one of the largest and best Thanksgiving Day experiences in Michigan, with typical participation at nearly 4,000 runners. Even last year, in the midst of the pandemic, more than 1,600 runners and walkers participated in the first-ever Virtual Turkey Trot. This year we are pleased to be back in-person at the starting line, just outside Van Andel Arena. The morning begins at 8:00 am with the 5K run/walk followed by the Mini Trot, a fun run for children 12 and under. There will also be an opportunity to participate virtually.

The Turkey Trot provides the opportunity for sponsors to reach the greater-Grand Rapids community AND to support the students of Grand Rapids Public Schools. We hope you will join us as a sponsor of the 29th Annual Grand Rapids Turkey Trot. Please see the full description of sponsorship opportunities to consider how you can become a part of this meaningful holiday tradition.

We will follow up with you in the next few weeks to answer any questions you may have about this exciting opportunity. Thank you for your consideration. And don’t forget – Use your feet before you eat!

Would you prefer an invoice for your sponsorship? Please email suzanne.prell@grpsf.org to request one.
