GRPS 150th Anniversary

On April 14th, 2021, Grand Rapids Public Schools turned 150 years old! We plan to celebrate this milestone throughout the 2021-22 school year, with fundraising events to raise awareness and strengthen our GRPS Alumni community. Recognizing 150 years of education in Grand Rapids presents a unique opportunity for us to partner with local organizations, businesses, and alumni. We hope to honor the accomplishments of our past while supporting the district’s dreams for the future.

GRPS Crosstown Throwdown Alumni Reunion

To launch the celebrations, we’ll be throwing an all-town class reunion at the GRPS Football Kick-Off on Friday, August 27th at Houseman Field. Join us for this “Crosstown Throwdown”, where Ottawa Hills and Union High football teams will face off as alumni from every GRPS school gather for the first-ever city-wide reunion!

Tickets are FREE, but we anticipate a sell-out crowd, so pre-order your tickets soon! To register, use the form on this page.
