Our Impact So Far
Raised So Far
Foundation for the Future is historically an annual fundraising event hosted by the Grand Rapids Public Schools Foundation to help directly support the students, faculty and educational programs at Grand Rapids Public Schools! This years theme was surrounded around the hopes and opportunities they strive to bring to the district in the near future!
We were able to hear from Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby, CEO + President of GRPSF Stephanie Andrews and GRPS Scholars about how we can work to provide community resources and educational experiences to help every student learn, thrive and develop!
It’s so important for us to hear from proud GRPS Alumni like Marshall Purnell, class of 1968. He’s an incredible example for GRPS Scholars and how his education helped him in his career as a nationally renowned Architect.
Attyn Marshall, a lyricist and student at Museum School, gave an impactful Spoken Word on what Grand Rapids Public Schools means to him.
As well as GRPS Foundation Board of Directors President, Brendan Geary and Vice President, Misti Stanton-Smith, who gave insight on how the dollars raised will affect our schools for years to come.
Help us reach our goal by donating to the Foundation for the Future program!
This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of Matt Cook, Vice President of Community Relations at Lake Michigan Credit Union and LMCU as an organization. Together LMCU and GRPS Foundation helped to create an amazing fundraising event where all of the dollars raised from Foundations of the Future will be going directly to the GRPS Foundation!
