Bath Bombs Workshop at Kent Hills Elementary

Kent Hills Elementary recently hosted an exciting Bath Bombs Workshop for 4th and 5th graders, thanks to funding from the Teacher Innovation Fund mini-grant. This hands-on event let students dive into the fun of mixing ingredients, selecting essential oils, and choosing mold shapes to create their very own bath bombs. It was the bomb!

Special Guest: Ms. Se’Veya Jackson

GRPS teacher Domonic Biolchini invited 14-year-old entrepreneur Ms. Se’Veya Jackson to lead the workshop. Ms. Jackson taught the students about the benefits of bath bombs, the chemical process involved in making them, and the advantages of using natural beauty products over synthetic ones.

Hands-On Learning Experience

With the assistance of six Kent Hills volunteers, each student created at least three bath bombs to take home, along with a kit to make more in the future. This workshop was not only a fun activity but also a valuable science experiment where students practiced skills used by real scientists.

Inspiration for Young Innovators

The workshop was particularly inspiring because it was led by a young entrepreneur close in age to the students. This demonstrated that anyone, regardless of age, can create inventions or start a business. Talk about motivation!
